14-year-old Charlie Higgins, whose Dad is off fighting the Japanese in World War II is living on Lake Erie for the summer and chumming around with his buddy, Ted. Charlie’s Mom, Grace objects to Charlie going to work for Anna Trumbull, also known as “the Pig Woman”, an eccentric art teacher, who used to teach Grace. And then, there’s Bonnie … well, of course there’s romance! It’s summertime at the lake!
